The Dairy Center, a nonprofit cultural arts organization founded in 1992. It is one of the only places in Boulder to experience dramatic theater, comedy, live music, dance performances and visual arts under one roof. The Dairy Center is housed in the historic Watts-Hardy Dairy building and is home to more than a dozen premier resident art organizations.
There With Care provides support services to children and families facing critical illness. Eldora Mountain Ski & Snowboard Club (EMSC) started life back in 1975 as The Lake Eldora Race Team Association, also known as LERT. EMSC develops Colorado's Front Range Ski Racers and Competitive Freestyle & Freeride Skiers and Snowboarders – Building Champions for Life!
Over 100 years ago, the Boulder Chamber was established with an ambitious goal: To establish Boulder as a booming metropolis and the best place to live and work. The Chamber was founded in the tradition of those who advocated early on to host the state's flagship university, and in whose tradition Boulder would go on to attract leading laboratories and businesses. Throughout, the Boulder Chamber has played an essential role in community progress.
Founded in 1958, the Boulder Philharmonic Orchestra is creating a new model for American orchestras through dynamic performances that reflect our community's own values, creativity, and sense of place. Voted "Best of Boulder" for the past six years in a row, today's Boulder Phil is bucking national trends with growing, enthusiastic audiences. The Boulder Phil strives to inspire the next generation of music-lovers through Discovery Concerts that have reached thousands of 4th and 5th grade students in 28 schools across three counties. For decades the Phil has also fostered new talent with the annual Young Artist Concerto Competition, and Boulder Phil musicians provide mentorship through side-by-side concerts with the Greater Boulder Youth Orchestras and Front Range Youth Orchestras. In all these ways, the Boulder Phil strives to be at the center of our community’s cultural fabric.
Boulder 8 is a local government television broadcasting station and multimedia video production facility operated by the City of Boulder Communication Department. Deliberate Conversations, hosted by Ralph Gregory, covers important issues impacting the city.
The Longmont Downtown Development Authority (LDDA) is dedicated to developing a thriving and vibrant downtown community that attracts businesses, residents and visitors. Through strategic programs, development incentives and successful partnerships, the LDDA is enhancing downtown and working to preserve its historic attributes.
Longmont Humane Society (LHS) is an open admission facility with a mission of: Caring, serving and educating to improve the lives of companion animals. LHS has come a long way since opening in 1972. More than 4,000 animals come through its doors every year, and more than 2,000 find loving, permanent new homes with the help of more than 80 staff – including a behavioral team to work specifically with dogs – and some 800 volunteers.
The mission of the Colorado Chautauqua Association is to preserve, perpetuate and improve the site and spirit of the historic Chautauqua by enhancing its community and values through cultural, educational, social and recreational experiences. The Chautauqua experience is based on lifelong learning, love of nature, voluntary simplicity, and music, oration and the arts. Historic significance, traditions, cultural relevance, respite and enrichment are among the community benefits provided by the Colorado Chautauqua.
Founded in 1976, the Colorado Music Festival (CMF) presents a summer season of classical music concerts performed by professional musicians from around the world at the historic Chautauqua Auditorium in Boulder. Emerging talent from Europe, Asia, South America and the U.S. join CMF musicians in performances that inspire and engage concertgoers of all ages. The CMF thrills audiences of more than 20,000 each season with programming that embraces the most beloved classical music repertoire, while integrating world music and the works of exciting modern composers.
TRU Community Care works to ensure that everyone in our community can live with advanced illness as comfortably, confidently, and fully as possible. Our vision is to serve an enlightened community that embraces death and loss as integral parts of the cycle of life. Founded as Boulder Hospice in 1976, TRU Community Care is a Colorado-licensed, Medicare and Medicaid-certified, nonprofit health care organization serving the greater Boulder, Broomfield, Adams, Jefferson, and Weld Counties.
